Introduction

Infinium Aion is traditional style Play-2-Win with slow pace of grinding while still preseve the classic fantasy envinronment of original game. If you loves Aion crafting but don't like its PvP, you come to right place.

Quality of Life

First, we want to introduce many convinient action the game should have:

  • Player start with level 9 and placed right in front of Pernos/Munin. After the short Ascension quest to choose class, player will reach level 10 and able to request companion.
  • Right after the short Ascension quest to choose class, player will reach level 10 and able to request companion.
  • Player also given small white boot with 22% movement speed right after character creation.
  • Instead of given useless Ribbit quest, the pet tutorial quest reward player with Pink Nyanco which have auto-loot feature.
  • If resurrect in Obelisk, play won't suffer of Soul sick and will be buff with Light of Repose until move away or 2 minute passed. This allow player can quickly heal self without wasting time Resting or using Potion while still preserve weakness low HP if player choose to leave immediately. This effect still applied even if player take damage.
  • Cube Artisan in Poeta/Ishalgen can expand player cube to level 5, equal to Reshanta. Also, Vindachinerk has been moved right out side of Black Cloud Village.

Other configuration has been planned:

  • We will disable many unnessary drop like potion or trash item. These occupied too much of player's cube which hinder automatic pet looter efficacy.
  • The pet loot will be enable if player leave game with looter pet summoned.
  • The unique feature Infinium Bridge will be implement before Release phase.

Trading focus

PvP only fun if player expect to lose. But how many times in life we expect to lose? In contrast, most of us enjoy casual task and the feeling of plan comes toghether. So rather let player collide with other, Infinium see other choice: Trading. This method let player carry out their daily task without intensive of PvP.

  • Broker service now drain API for listing rather than Kinah:
    • The fee always 100 AP for listing first 8 row and 400 AP for next 6 row.
    • The fee doesn't calculate with amount of stack, meaning listing stack of 100 item have same of stack of 1 item. Also, item listing for 100 million of kinah has same fee of 10 kinah.
    • We expect player don't have to open private store or keep shouting on channel because of intolerable fee of listing big item
    • Don't worry about the AP, it's not only cheap but you will found that AP in this server easy to get, especially with Companion follow you around.
  • Crafting and gathering is now much easier:
    • Work Order given material has been multiple by 3 - 18 times. This allow player can leveling crafting skill much easier.
    • Essencetapping gather count has been increased much. From 3 -> 10 with normal item; 1 -> 4 with gemstone item like Ruby Ore; From 12 -> 40 with Huge gatherable node.
    • While Aethertapping gather count still keep at 5, its respawn reduced to 30 second. Allow player can gather without collide on other players.
    • Light of Repose now doesn't recover Energy of Repose but DP with slow rate. This allow player can AFK to recover DP for morph items.
  • To prevent the market stay dead, we added expiration time to Food, Drink and Scroll as well as certain crafting material:
    • Common food and Drink last 7 days while critical craft food and drink last for 30 days.
    • Normal balic food last for 30 days while critical craft balic food is permanent.
    • All scroll and potion from Alchemy last for 14 days. DP Jelly last for 14 days
    • All gatherable material for food crafting only last 3 days except "Fresh" herb
    • Normal Aether last for 3 days. Magical Aether last for 7 days. Pure Aether last for 30 days. Brilliant Aether is permanent.
    • The expiration has been reworked: Item with expiration time can be merged, taking avenger of expiration time of each stack rather taking old expiration time like original.
    • We got trouble from display expiration date item for trade. We will add a blockage on broker which preven item with less than half of expiration passed and some of broker service will added to Coordinator.
  • Food and Drink effect now much more powerful:
    • Non-critical crafted food output has double effect. Critical version of crafted food has triple effect.
    • Non-critical crafted Balic food has triple effect. Critical version of crafted balic food has quadruple effect.
  • Right now, in CBT, most of PvP configuration hasn't been set, but there is plan. Aion isn't optimized for PvP and have heavy personal skill from its Korean developer rather than brain consideration and determination so we leave PvP in our Aion server at normal, not encouraging. If player loves PvP, they should see Allods which has great Latency tolerant.
    • All XForm will be disable.
    • Increase AP reward from killing mob while reduce AP gain from instance like Dredgion or Arena.
    • Reduce reward of "Fair" arena. Player should have big-open-combat with a lot of player. Reward of those arena will even world drop or other way of acquisition.

Planning

Currently, server on Close Beta Test which start from June 8, 2025 08:00 GMT+8. If everything goes smoothy, Open Beta phase will start June 21, 2025 12:00 GMT+8.

Insight

Infinium Aion is more likely an experiment, a challenge to further understanding what's going on in Online Gaming Industry. Why player prefer quick game like League of Legend or Valorant rather many epic game like Monster Hunter: World, or Destiny 2... Also, somehow, MU Online still alive with great population.

Our consideration comes with stress-environment people has daily. Life not short, but not the pressure we have to take to live on. It hinder our ambition, leading the choice of fast-track game with no consequence rather of long game build gear and prepare big boss fight. Understand of this, Infinium Aion comes with high quality-of-life configuration with mostly no pressure gaming enjoyment.

We still seeking for the answer of "How to define 8 hour work of a day?". Some lead point out that trading may related to the answer, we expect this server will generate enough data for analyze.
