Introduction

This part serve as short summary and quick word for those doesn't like to read. This article is about science, not gameplay.

Infinium has two main question and one bonus objectives:

  • First question: How to define 8 hour work of a day?
  • Second question: Can working or learning can be enjoyable like playing games?
  • Bonus objectives: Internet community toxicity is high.
We have acquired several clues to answer these two question. While not fully answered, the clue is very close and some can partial solve the problem. And Infinium implement many features to drive community to test solution or further search for more clues.

Digitalize side effect

First, let's clarify theFirst question. Many one think it's easy question, but here is very small example with big headache: How a painter get paid? We known many way to solve this, but none are fully solve the question, as it can be qualified as: How to measure an unknown work in the future precisely? Please note that the result of those work is highly to be newly as the painter cannot copy an old work and say it's his own. Even the finished masterpiece like Mona Lisa cannot be priced, how we going to price a painting in the future? Further, the problem can be find many other profesionnal: musician, architect, or even teacher, IT developer, designer... can be count in. With a closer look, even basic worker like builder has this problem too as 8 hour work with those hard worker result differently from those slack off. Expand, the question can be directly linked to another premise:"Virtue is immeasurable".

Let's straight forward to solution as this is only short article: Randomize Properties, which mean randomly pick some factor of work result to measure the process. While it isn't fully answer the question, it's considered as a progress to final answer as it partly solve the problem of "unknown in the future". About theBonus objectives, we assumed that the reason is because people acquire new relationship too easy nowaday while there is very few way to improve friendship or understand each others. Therefore, most of Infinium features require teamwork or community interaction like Guild Experience Pool or Infinium Bridge.

- AI is not the solution and never is. The reason is simple: AI require training dataset. Before AI can work, it must be training on dataset, which are collective of human action in the past. Because of this, if AI trained with painting ofVincent van GoghandLeonardo da Vinciwill create a new picture with either style of van Gogh or Leonardo or mixing of both, but it will never resultInk wash painting of Chinese. So too will it never understand new kind of action human made in the future as well, unless it is self-aware. Gaming Compositional

  • Interactive: Gaming is straight forward, player always has solution to solve the current problem and they only have to find it. Life is different. It dead end sometimes, stuck a lot.
There is some minor element. It doesn't link to the solution directly, but it is considerable:
  • Responsibility: Game mostly has no impact on real life. Player can ressurect. Item can be craft or farming again. No responsibility meaning stress free, higher enjoyment.
  • Reality escape: Game bring player to other realm, different from where they life. Either fantasy or scary, it alway bring enjoyment to player.
  • Friend: Most of learning and working has to do alone. But game, especially online game, players has extra fun when playing with the others.
Currently, we searching a formula between those element. We known that there is no way for click-to-learn in the real life, but if split the learning progress into pages and tracking it, thing become easier and more enjoyment than force student learn entire book. It's small solution, and we are searching for general solution, a effective formula. While player cannot help with the searching, as we known about the element and testing the formula, player enjoyment is greatest contribution to us.

Do you know what is different between a man and a working machine? The correct answear is Life. We acquired a strong theory about this well known element to compare it with many other well known element including "Entertainment". While not able to reveal the theory now, there is something we would like to name:

  • Human mind demand certain amount of "Life" everyday. Different on each invidual. Children require large amount of "Life" while adult can migrate this desire by responsible, daily work... Female require a bit of "Life" everyday while male can recharge it in large and last for weeks without newly generation.
  • "Life" is generated by various activity or element. Sucessfullness, Love consider is two highest "Life" generator. Some other can be namely: Entertainment, hope, friendship, sexual, family... But they not always generate "Life" in all circumstance.
  • "Life" generation is subjective. Same circumstance of each invidual has different impact on each invidual.
  • "Life" can be see as emotion of invidual. Both bad side and good side of emotion are part of life. Sorrow and Happiness are all "Life"
  • Low "Life" increase chance of serious problem like Stress, Autism, Depressed. But high "Life" doesn't mean invidual immune to these problem.
  • One of most common problem of lacking "Life" in modern society is Night Owl - They seeking "Life" by push their body to higher tolerant.
  • Please don't misguided "Life" with vital sign. A man heart still beating, but social may already considered about him as dead.
  • "Life" different with "Faith" as it is non-targeted. Faith require believe into something, but "Life" is not.
